With Black Friday, Cyber Monday and the holiday season approaching we have been getting a lot of questions about purchasing from mac of all trades. Many of our customers are first time buyers from our website and to the refurbished Apple computer market, so they often are unsure of what we offer or even what a refurbished computer is. That is why we want to be sure to help answer any questions you have before taking the plunge on your holiday gift buying this season.


Here are some of the questions we get asked the most:


How do you refurbish your Macs?


The machines we purchase normally come from a working environment. The vast majority of them are already 100% operational. Here is a brief synopsis of the refurbishing process:
• All hardware components are tested. If any component fails hardware testing, it is replaced.
• Each machine is inspected for cosmetic damage.
• Each machine is physically cleaned inside and out to the best of our ability.

Once an item sells, we test and inspect it a second time for quality-control purposes. All items ship with a 90-day warranty unless otherwise noted.


Are OS disks/installers included?


No OS disks or flash installers are included with any machines we ship. Computers ship with an operating system (OS) pre-loaded on the hard drive. The version of OS is denoted in each item”s listing. We encourage all customers to upgrade to Mavericks (10.9) through Apple”s website (FREE upgrade).


Can I upgrade the machine?


Upgrades are offered in drop-down menus on the detailed product listing page. We offer competitive pricing on RAM and hard drive upgrades. Our most popular upgrade is the Extended Warranty.

What forms of payment do you accept?

We accept PayPal, VISA, MasterCard, Discover, and American Express. We also except school POs (some restrictions apply). Most orders are processed through the website. We normally process larger orders offline (requiring an advance wire transfer, check, or credit card).


Do you have a retail store?


To maintain the lowest pricing in the industry, we do not operate as a traditional retailer. Our facility consists of offices and a warehouse void of any showroom. The only way to browse products is through our website. All orders are processed online (even for local customers in the metro Tampa area). You have the option during online checkout to select “In Store Pickup.” Once your order has completed online, you are welcome to contact us to setup a pickup time (which is by appointment only the next business day).


Is this website secure?


Absolutely. has been validated to have a secure SSL certificate which provides industry standard data encryption of information transferred from your computer to the website. What is the warranty policy?


All items include our 90-day Warranty (unless remaining original Apple Warranty or AppleCare is noted in the listing). You also have the option to purchase our 15-month Extended Warranty at any point during the original 90-day Warranty.
90-day Warranty
• 90-day Warranty begins date equipment is delivered (based on UPS/USPS tracking information).
• Customer pays shipping to mac of all trades for 90-day Warranty service.
• mac of all trades covers parts, labor, and shipping back to customer.*
15-Month Extended Warranty
• 15-Month Extended Warranty begins date equipment is delivered (based on UPS/USPS tracking information).
• mac of all trades pays round-trip shipping* for 15-Month Extended Warranty service.
• mac of all trades covers parts and labor.
*Note: Warranties do not cover accidental damage, liquid damage, buyer negligence, or issues related to software or setup. If traveling/stationed outside the US, the customer is responsible for round-trip shipping.


Do you offer expedited shipping?


We offer expedited shipping options depending on your location. Customers in 4- or 5-day UPS Ground zones will see Ground, 3 Day Select, and 2nd Day Air options. Customers in 3-day UPS Ground zones will see Ground and 2nd Day Air options. Customers in 1- or 2-day Ground zones will only see the Ground shipping option. We do not offer overnight service.


Can I return my product?


Absolutely. Returns for refund are accepted within seven (7) days of the date the order is delivered. To return an item, please request an RMA# (Return Merchandise Authorization Number) by opening a support ticket (click here). Please include the reason for return. For items returned within seven (7) days, the customer is not charged a 15% restocking fee. The customer may either request a refund or receive a credit towards another purchase. The customer is responsible for return shipping, and the original shipping is not refundable.
*Items returned after the seven (7) day return period are charged a 15% restocking fee.

• Warranties
• Seller Boxes
